Exposition 2.0

Not so long ago we received a message on our Facebook group for my university that they where organising an art exhibition on the 7th of May, that will later on be continued in the school library for an undetermined time. The students who where interested where given the chance to participate, and as I do not turn down an opportunity to exhibit my pictures, I decided to join the « art » people of my school :p

So I sent an email to have more information on how to participate and then send a file with some of my pictures, they made a selection of there favorite ones and I will get the chance to exhibit 10 of them (mostly animals since we are in a vet school) ! I am really excited as it is the 3rd time I get to share my work during an exhibition and I am looking forward to hearing what people think of my pictures !! 😀

You can check below the pictures that have been selected:

Bretagne and Paris

So, once again I went on vacation, but this time with my boyfriend. We had planned this trip a few months ago, and as the trip was getting closer, I couldn’t wait to go for the first time in Bretagne followed by the city of love (city of light): Paris.

We left for 10 days: 7 days in Bretagne, and 3 days in Paris. Our travel itinerary was: Geneva, Nantes, Quimper, Ile Tudy (7 days), Brest, Paris (3 days), Geneva.

It was the very first time I went to Bretagne, and we where very lucky with the weather during our stay. It was very sunny and warm, with a little wind, but it was really great! I was able to take a lot of landscape pictures and a few selfies (but I will not post them ^^). We stayed in a little appartement that was barely 3m of the beach, which was simply paradise ! We enjoyed the weather, went swimming in the sea, walked on the beach and also did a little biking.

After 7 days in Bretagne, we had 5-6h train to Paris, the famous capital of love, the city of light, the Eiffel Tower, « Le Mur des Je T’aime », and all the amazing things this city has to offer.  We where once again very lucky with the weather as it was really sunny and warm, which was really nice ! We did a lot of walking but it didn’t matter because we where in PARIS !

Sadly, every vacation has to end at some point, but I keep the best memories of this trip with my love, and can’t wait for the next trip we will be able to share together !

So here are the pictures I took in order of our stay: Bretagne and then Paris. Hope you enjoy 🙂

After finally finishing 2 years of torture called IB, finishing 3 weeks of exams, we (class of 2014) all went to Greece for a well deserved vacation. We, more specifically, went to Mykonos and Ios to enjoy the sun, the beach, and of course the partying!

After a few hours in a plane and airport, we finally arrived in Mykonos ! Just in time to enjoy the sea before diner which was just great ! The next day: Tanning and beach time. Sadly, the weather changed very quickly into a storm. Hopefully it was all gone the next day and we where able, once again, to enjoy our vacation.

After 3 days in Mykonos, we took the ferry for the famous party island of Ios. Once we arrived, the hotel staff that is used to receiving the students of our school every year (as the trip to Greece is a tradition after finishing our exams) greeted us, and the party started once everyone was settled in and it lasted 10 days !

But it isn’t the only good thing about Greece! The landscapes are amazing and the view is always beautiful. The village of Mykonos is really nice, and the windmills is something you have to visit! Ios is also really nice as well, but not much to visit. And of course, the food (greek salade, gyros etc) was really delicious ! I keep a wonderful souvenir of this trip, and happily came back with the famous Ios cough (like everyone that left :p ).

Here are a few pictures of my trip as I didn’t really take the time to take a lot of pictures… Hope you enjoy 🙂

I know that this had absolutely nothing to do with photography, but I still wanted to share this with you guys. So recently I discovered a concept call : SOS Cookies. The idea is simple, and can be a great gift if you run out of ideas 🙂 The objective is to have a jar and fill it with all the necessary ingredients to make cookies, and close everything up. You will then be able to offer it to one of your friends or bring it for some special occasions, but the rule is to open it only in urgent situation !  __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Approximately : 6 people

Difficulty: Easy

Préparation Time : 15 min

Cooking Time : 13 min

  • 1 jar of 1l
  • 250g flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 100 g of oat flakes

  • 100g white sugar
  • 120g chocolate chips
  • 50g nut (optional) – can be replaced with smarties, m&m’s etc…

STEP 1Take a clean and dry jar. It is important to pack each layer for a nice result. Start with the edges, the layers will be nicer and more visible. You can put then in any order you want, but the best is to put them in the order of the ingredient list. STEP 2 Close the jar and add a label saying: « Add 1 egg and 125g of soft butter and mix well. Form small balls of dough, and place them on a baking sheet. Bake 13 -15 minutes at 180 ° C. «

STEP 3 Give it as a gift for a special occasion ! Image

Joyful Childhood (Thailand)

Walking the streets of Chiang Mai last summer I stopped by a small shop selling many different pictures. They where taken by a photographer named Nattusaet Jirattrakul, living in Thailand and traveling all around Asia.

He shares the theme of childhood by photographing kids playing, eating, in love and basically enjoying life. The photo’s are absolutely stunning and touching, which made me want to buy a few of them. They reflect the happiness of children’s from all around Asia, which makes the picture simply magical.

Nattusaet Jirattrakul is not know worldwide, but he has a great gift and his very own style that should be shared with everyone, so I give you the possibility to look at a few of his pictures, and do not hesitate to contact him to see samples of his pictures or even to buy some yourself !

His email: dan-endoo@hotmail.com

Hope you enjoy 🙂
